I really do hate asking people for money. But, if you feel so inclined, I'd really appreciate your help....
This year, I have the honor and pleasure of participating in MDA's Stars Behind Bars 2008 to help "Jerry's Kids®". To reach my goal I need your help!
I'd like to include you on my list of contributors who are helping me reach my goal. Your donation would help MDA continue the important fight against muscular dystrophy. Check out my web page by clicking on the link below. There you'll find all kinds of information about MDA, and be able to make your tax-deductible donation on-line using your credit card.
MDA serves people in our community with neuromuscular disease by providing clinics, support groups, assistance with the purchase and repair of wheelchairs, braces and communication devices, and summer camp for kids. MDA also funds research grants to help find treatments and cures for some 43 neuromuscular diseases that affect people of all ages, right here in our community.
I sincerely hope that you'll take the opportunity to support MDA. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail me.
On behalf of the families MDA serves, thank you!
Warmest Regards,
Library_chic

What did you do for fun when you were a kid? How is it different from what you see kids doing now?
Submitted by jaklumen.
I was outside for most of my childhood. My sister and I explored the woods behind our house, making moss tea and really really bad potpourri out of the flowers and things that we found. We played house and camped out in the back yard. If it was warm and sunny, we were outside. If it was rainy, we read books and played board games and stuff...
Kids nowadays (how old am I!) don't seem to be outside as much.....at least not all of them. Seems like more kids play video games and stuff than play outside.
What is one thing you MUST do before you go to bed at night?
Brush my teeth. I literally have a hard time sleeping if I haven't brushed my teeth.
How many pair of shoes do you have? Out of those pairs, how many do you wear more than a few times a year?
Submitted by fightinggale.
*sigh* Honestly? I have 53 pairs of shoes. I wear about 90% of them more than a few times a year. The ones I rarely wear are things like my hiking boots and rafting sandals. Also, my tennis shoes. Mostly because I no longer live in a city with a lot of readily available outdoor sports. So I wear fun shoes more :)
What do you want to be famous for?
Submitted by bluemoon07.
I don't really want to be famous.....at least not the kind of famous I'm sure this means. I'd like to be known and respected in my field, and I think i'm on my way to that, so I'm pretty happy where I am
How are your Saturday nights different now than they were five years ago?
Let's see....five years ago I was still in graduate school, about half way through. I'm guessing my Saturday nights were spent doing homework, working, or hanging out with the guy I was dating then.
Now? Now most of my Saturday nights are spent out, as "wingman" to a friend of mine. Which is fun, if not a little tiring :)
What's the one thing you're most neurotic about?
*Most* neurotic? Cleaning. And putting things away. I'm very particular about how things get put away and how things (especially the kitchen) get cleaned. Now that I'm aware of it, I try to let go and let other people help, but it's tough sometimes. It's definitely something that I'm neurotic about only in my *own* kitchen, though. Other people's kitchens can be as messy as they want :)
I know there are quite a few knitters in my neighborhood, so I thought I'd ask this question for a friend. She's getting married at the end of August and would like to knit a wedding-appropriate shrug or shawl or other wrap-like thing. She doesn't want to have sleeves on her dress, but also doesn't want to have bare shoulders in church.
So, post your favorite shrug/wrap/shawl pattern in the comments please!
